Hey everyone. I am so sorry I havent had much time to bring everyone up to date. I have started my new job and hit the ground running.. I have been extremely busy and it is paying off with my first enlistment coming up on Thursday. Yeah!!!Behind the scenes of this is a whole lot of paperwork, phone calls and meetings. Add to that a few other people I am also in this same process with.
On the lighter side of life, as most of you know, I have added some toys to the family with 2 Yamaha jet skiis... So, when not working my butt off, we are playing pretty hard... The old saying of "work hard and play hard" seems to be my life now.
But, no complaints here whatsoever!!! I am loving my new career, my new life. I will try to keep up better in the future, but be patient.

Hey everyone. I finally finished school and am home!!! I found out that I will be staying in the Biloxi area for a few years, so still close to home. I have to say thanks to all of you who supported me through my efforts to better my life. It has been a roller coaster ride, thats for sure, but now its on to bigger and better things. I am excited, yet nervous. So keep up the great support you have been sending me, I will need it for a while!!!

Hey everyone. 2 weeks to go!!! School has been rough this past week as we went through what they call "Hell week". It really was just that. We actually have 2 more days that fall into that week. However, even with the pressure during this week, I stayed focused and got a perfect score on one of our labs. This led to my receiving the "Best Performance" award for the week. Pretty cool.

Anyway, due to the time I have spent staying focused on school, I haven't gotten out much to explore San Antonio. That's okay though, I would rather get through this school with good grades and make my way back home as soon as possible.

Our long lost girl Sarah was close this weekend, in Houston with her family. But, due to lack of transportation for her and lack of time for me, we just couldn't get together. Guess I just have to make another trip to Seattle soon.

Hey everyone. 2 weeks down and 4 to go.. All is well with school. It's a little tough, lots to memorize and study groups every night for like 2-3 hours... So not much time for anything else until the weekend.

We did get downtown to visit the Riverwalk. It is beautiful. Yes, I took pics, just haven't had time to post those yet. Tonight we are getting out for a while to see a Nickelback concert. Definitely excited about that.

I am also really excited about my new career. A little nervous because the first year will be a huge learning experience for me. But I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and to meeting new people. And, for those I love, there is a great chance that I may be stationed close to Keesler in Biloxi!!!! I sure hope that opportunity goes through so we can still have time together and not so far to drive home... Will keep you posted...

Hey everyone. Its only been 2 days here in Texas so far. So, I havent been able to get out to see much or get pics yet. But those will come. Yesterday was my first day in class, and it wasnt so bad. Toward the end of the day, we had to attend what they call "Kudos" which is a get together of all the recruiting classes. They give out awards and recognitions. Since it was my class's first day, they couldnt give us much, however, someone in our class was to receive a trophy for "Most professional appearance". And, guess who got it??? You bet!!! How awesome, my first day, nervous about being in the school and being the class leader, and I receive our first award. That sure made the day seem so much better.

Then this morning I had to get out and pick up some things for school and it was raining. The streets here flood very quickly when it rains. I was shocked. Every intersection had running water across the road, and the people here just cruise right through it. I slowed down at least.. But that was quite strange. This city is easy to get turned around and lost... But, its pretty cool though.

I will keep everyone updated on the happenings here.

Now I have a place on the Webisphere where we can all get together and chat. Please start sending me stuff to talk about. I'll be busy training for the next few weeks in Texas... YEAH! Never hung there before, so life is really exciting right now!
